"This isn't an ordinary website," says Karen Coker, CEO of new web-based business, Cool In Baltimore (CiB).

"We're hoping to be the "go-to" space for all things cool in Baltimore. And by cool, we mean interesting. Everything is up for evaluation. There's so much this city has in the way of historical and cultural significance, and we want to feature articles about the people, places, things, and ideas that make Baltimore interesting. We invite website visitors to become regular users and to get involved with other cool people around town through the site."

Coker and her team of editorial and creative staff launched the website for CiB in  2011.  With plans for an official launch in summer 2012, the team is building the website and creating other product lines including events, retail goods, and social memberships.
